An SA Boat Operators Licence will allow you to legally drive a recreational vessel throughout SA waters. You MUST hold a current boat operator's licence to operate any type of recreational vessel fitted with an engine, regardless of the size of the boat or its engine.

Before you take control of a motorboat, make sure you have a valid licence, permit or a current commercial qualification (eg coxswain or master certificate) and your correct name and address is on the licence or certificate.

The SA Boat Operators Licence covers the use of recreational vessels for recreational purposes - this includes PWC's (jetski's).
